This book is thought provoking and insightful. In concise words, Patrick McCauley is able to reveal motives and behavior I had not previously noted the importance of to the series. I would recommend this companion content to any Harry Potter fan. There is however one item I must point out that did disappoint me. The publishing work done for this book is abysmal. There are several missed spellings and grammatical errors. In addition, the font size and spacing is not uniform within a paragraph and persists throughout the entire book. Simple things, but these issues, while small, noticeably detract from the content of the book.
I have just started this new addition to the Potter universe and am not willing to comment on the content; but I must point out that in the first 20 pages there were numerous proofing and editing boo-boo’s. I trust the next printing will correct these distractions. I shall have more to add when I finish, but the premises and arguments, thus far, are satisfactory, but the proofing was atrocious. Seems worth finishing.
It’s like no other book I’ve ever read. I highly recommend to anyone looking to peek behind the secret doors of the Harry Potter books. The insight is deep but written in a way that anyone can understand.
